Lindsay Lohan: “I’m writing and recording, on and off”.

Lindsay Lohan called up KIIS FM this week to clear up the rumors about her private life and partying habits or something like that, and during the interview the starlet mentioned that besides her upcoming film and fashion projects she’s also been writing and recording on and off for her untitled third album (it’s no longer titled ‘Spirit In The Dark’).

In addition to the A-list cast of hitmakers on the new album such as the Neptunes, J.R. Rotem, Kara DioGuardi, Timbaland, Snoop Dogg, Bloodshy & Avant and many more, Lindsay is also working with indie faveKhaela Maricich of The Blow.

Khaela has been playing a few small shows recently where she’s been performing some of the demos that she’s recorded for Lindsay, the most recent instance being during an opening slot for Vampire Weekend.

Below you can hear a short live clip of a quirky new dance-pop song titled “Up” that Khaela created for Lindsay.

Rumors have been swirling that Britney Spears has enlisted trance DJ Tiesto to work on songs for her upcoming seventh album, and now it’s all but set in stone after several various telling signs.

It all began when Britney’s A&R rep tweeted that she had a meeting with Tiesto, and then when the DJ’s record label were questioned about it they issued a vague response by saying “…assume it’s true”.

Now a popular Dutch paper are reporting that Tiesto’s management confirmed that the DJ has been spending time with Britney to find the right sound for her.

Tiesto joins a number of other producers and contributors already attached to Britney’s new album, which is currently being kept top secret by her label and management.

Oh and if you’re expecting Britney to go urban for this album – don’t. I’m hearing the whole thing is going to be Euro dance-pop.

NATALIA KILLS; LOVE KILLS EPISODE 1.

Cherrytree Records artist Natalia Kills today premiered the first episode of her new webseries “Love, Kills xx”, which is being used to promote her upcoming debut album Perfectionist.

The first episode (which was written, produced, scored and directed by Natalia herself) has a dark noir feel and kicks off a mysterious story that seems to revolve around some kind of juicy kidnapping.

More episodes will be unveiled in the near future, all leading up to Natalia’s first official single and album.

Perfectionist has been described as “dark pop” and will contain production from Akon, Neff-U, Fernando Garibay, Cherry Boom and Jeff Bhasker. The whole thing was written and conceptualized by Nat herself so it’s definitely one to look out for this year.
